Powderdreams – but secure
Warth-Schröcken is one of the Top Resorts for freeriders, enjoying the snow beside the slopes. There are wide open spaces as well as small tree runs and cliff drops. Furthermore: lots of snow is guaranteed. With 11 Meters snow per year, Warth-Schröcken is one of the most snow-rich skiresorts of the alps.
Last year and in cooperation with „SAAC“ (Snow & Avalanche Awareness Camps) the „SAAC Competence Center Warth-Schröcken“ was found.
One of the most important things, when going off-pist, is to know about alpine risks and safety measures. That’s why the skiresort warth-schröcken offers in cooperation with SAAC (Snow & Avalanche Awareness Camps) freeride workshops. In these workshops mountain guides show the participants how to read an avalanche report, how to use the safety equipment , how to assess alpine terrain and give important tipps for planning a tour.
The SAAC Basic Camp is for free and takes 2 days.
After participating the Basic Camp the „SAACnd Step“ Camp offers the possibility to improve the skills in a 3,5 or 5,5 day Camp.
