In the last years, Warth-Schröcken focused on the further development of its infrastructure for climbing and thus installed a special Spiderman via ferrata, where children can collect their first climbing experiences. It is situated at the Schrofenwies climbing crag and has been especially installed for beginners and children. When the via ferrata was installed, it was considered that our young climbers do not yet have the same endurance as adults and therefore the route was kept very short.

The highest point of the via ferrata is 10 metres above the ground and its total length is 50 metres. It was classified as a C category, which means that it is of average difficulty and therefore ideal for the first climbing attempts. The Alpinschule offers climbing courses, where children from 7 years  will learn the most important knots, belay technique and abseiling. Of course children should never climb unattended.

And the Schrofenwies offers much more than only the via ferrata: the walking time to reach the crag is very short and in addition to the via ferrata there is a climbing crag with 31 various routes ranging from the IV to the VIII difficulty level. And at the end of an exhausting climbing day, you can use the barbecue area and enjoy an unforgettable sunset in an incomparable piece of nature.
